In response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Irma, the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) has established two funds to collect and distribute monetary donations for the purposes of providing immediate relief and supporting long-term community renewal efforts.

The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) has been serving the USVI for more than 25 years and is a 501(c)3 organization in good standing with the IRS. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the cause, as no fees are being charged by the Foundation.

At this time, donations can be made using PayPal via the links below (each Fund has its own PayPal link). Once the downtown Charlotte Amalie office is operational (or an alternative has been identified), donations will be accepted via check, cash and over the telephone. Thank you for your patience as our St. Thomas staff work diligently to resume normal operations.

Contact Development Director katrinb@cfvi.net with questions regarding donations and current fundraising efforts, and Senior Program Advisor Anna Wheatley Scarbriel at ascarbriel@cfvi.net with questions regarding programming or general information about CFVI.

We are committed to joining others in the efforts to rebuild our islands. Thank you for your support!

The FUND FOR THE VIRGIN ISLANDS

The FUND FOR THE VIRGIN ISLANDS (FFVI) was established to provide monies for critical needs in the U.S. Virgin Islands, both to support short-term relief efforts and to enhance the well-being of future generations. Strategic planning for these efforts will be coordinated with input from local government, national experts, and trusted local nonprofits. CFVI will update the public and donors through the CFVI website, e-mail listserv, press, social media, and on how these funds are being used and distributed.

CFVI FRIENDS AND FAMILY FUND FOR USVI RENEWAL

The CFVI FRIENDS AND FAMILY FUND FOR USVI RENEWAL (FNF) was established to accommodate donations from CFVI's family, friends, existing Fund donors, Angels and other partners. This fund will be directed by CFVI's Board of Directors and will focus on immediate grass-roots needs in the community and support for long-term solutions in some of the Foundation's main areas of focus. (i.e., early childhood, youth development, volunteerism, the elderly, emergency needs of families, etc.). Donations may be made with checks, credit cards, or through the PayPal link below (also found here: http://bit.ly/2x4tR2X).
