Fraud and Scams

Please be aware of fraudulent websites, emails, or individuals falsely representing the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) or soliciting donations on our behalf. To ensure your donation reaches CFVI, please use only the official donation channels listed on our website. CFVI does not solicit funds on the basis of an urgent need to support a specific family or individual. CFVI will never ask you to make a donation through Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Apple Pay, or other peer-to-peer payment apps. If you receive a donation request that seems unusual or are unsure about its legitimacy, please contact CFVI directly before making a contribution.
