CFVI awarded a grant to the St. Thomas Swimming Association, with funding from the Popular VI Community Fund, to provide scholarships for swimming lessons for children ages 4-17. In total, 725 lessons were provided which focused on water safety and basic swimming skills. The Association also expressed deep gratitude to the parents who volunteer at the main office to provide critical organizational support for the program. Participants shared memorable moments and excitement seeing their child overcome their fear of swimming. The Association looks forward to expanding their swimming scholarship program and offering more flexible classes to reinforce the importance of early swimming education.
