CFVI awarded a grant to the World Ocean School, with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities, to support programming for students and families across St. Croix. Activities included a wide-reaching program of dockside activities in Frederiksted, a recurring partnership with the Community Centers for Boys and Girls VI, and a day program with a group of local homeschooled children. Families and students participated in activities aboard the historic landmark tall-ship Roseway at her Frederiksted dockage, gaining an introduction to the vessel and the history of tall ships and a hands-on opportunity to step outside of their comfort zones in an environment that is both novel and safe.
