CFVI awarded a grant to Green VI, with funding from the Faile Foundation, to help strengthen waste management operations and build capacity in the British Virgin Islands. Funds supported the development of the territory’s first Material Recovery Facility and the refinement of recycling systems, including school programs, composting, and sustainable practices in the hospitality sector. Green VI diverted over 9,000 tons of recyclables and expanded recycling to 71 collection points, with 11 schools actively participating. The project emphasized sustainability and community involvement while addressing waste management challenges.
