CFVI awarded a grant to Salvage Life to support the AdaptVI program, a three-week adaptive sports and recreation initiative for students with disabilities in the USVI. Supported by the Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and the Disability Rights Center of the USVI, the program offered weekly activities—including archery, dancing, and gardening—across St. Croix and St. Thomas, reaching a total of 27 participants. With the dedicated involvement of 21 staff and 6 volunteers, AdaptVI made a meaningful impact on participants’ health, quality of life, and social engagement.
