CFVI awarded a grant to the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP), with funding from the Popular VI Community Fund, to provide children and teens in Tortola and beyond with an innovative model of youth workforce development. Eleven youth ages 15-18 were selected to participate for paid internship opportunities as youth counselors at YEP. This program model empowered teens to develop the necessary skills for employment, specifically in the hospitality industry. Under the professional guidance of Chef Mike, participants received training in communication, conflict resolution, and time management.
